BMW X5 (07 - 13)

It’s BMW’s biggest and most luxurious SUV to date, and it has set the trend for large 4x4s to be aimed more at on-road rather than off-road use. It handles like a high-powered saloon and has a robust chassis. When it glides through those corners it grips really well and feels nicely planted. Visually the X5 has huge road presence. It is definitely one of the best looking 4x4s on the market. The interior is spacious and really comfortable. There’s room for four passengers and an optional extra of two seats (suitable for children). If you don’t go with the extra two seats, you will have a huge boot. There are some powerful engines, each surprisingly efficient and economical. It’s one of the most dynamic SUVs you’re likely to drive. A great combination of power, pace and prestige.
