The 75 remains one of, if not the best, cars built by Rover. There was a time when their reputation for building good cars had diminished in the wake of ownership changes between 1984 and 2000. This model was produced under the co-ownership of BMW, SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), and Tata Motors. You can see and feel the improvement in quality and driving ability. It looks a lot better, almost reminiscent of the 2005 Jaguar X-Type from the side, which happens to be one of its main rivals. There is enough space for five while leg/head room in the front and back is decent. There is also a spacious boot. The cabin looks well. Rover went with the blend of wood and leather finishing, which is a popular combination among Jaguar enthusiasts. In terms of driving, the 75 is comfortable and uncomplicated. It handles well, the steering is light and positive, and the ride quality is smooth, nicely cushioning the passengers from bumps or potholes on the road.
